The power of taking ownership of our feelings



One can cultivate a belief is that everything that happens to us is at least partly our doing.  Once we can take ownership of our feelings rather than attributing the bad feelings to an external event, we will empower ourselves to make the changes required. 

Blaming external factors for our negative feelings is normal but sometimes unhelpful, as we may not have the power to change our environment.  Blaming is very common and it is something we ALL do from time to time. It is the fight in our fight or flight response.

However, being aware of the fact that it can disempower us, we can hopefully change it, minimise it, and better our lives in the process.
